Kintara is also able to visit you school to audit your current gifted education offerings and develop a professional learning course to suit your needs. She is able to offer ongoing mentoring of staff to support the implementation of any changes.

Language & Literacy for Learning

Being able to make meaning of classroom material is crucial for every learner to be able to experience success. Language & Literacy for Learning (formerly known as Literacy for Learning), the 3L course puts literacy at the core of all learning. 3L focusses on how students make meaning across all areas of the curriculum and develops an integrated, whole-school approach to help all teachers feel confident and skilled teachers of literacy. This course is for all teachers; Maths, Science, Humanities, Art, HPE and LOTE.
The course entails 20 hours of face-to-face learning, which, when combined with between-module readings and activities, is equivalent to more than 45 hours of professional development for teachers.
Both Emily & Kintara are certified to deliver the 3L course either in schools, over a number of sessions, or if there is sufficient interest we can arrange alternate dates for individual teachers to attend.
